Introducing departments for organisations

We listened carefully to your requests and are proud to announce adding department structure to our cloud stack. Now you can easily replicate your organisation by defining office locations, divisions and departments. For simplicity we call all of them departments.

How to create a department?

Just go to Organisation and click on Departments. You will be presented with a list of departments and the option to create new ones. It is important when you create a department to select the correct parent.

Example: Your organisation consists of 2 locations (Berlin and New York) and several departments for each location.

  • Create Berlin HQ and New York Office departments (remember we call even locations and divisions departments)
  • Create Management, Engineering, Business Development and Customer Support departments with parent Berlin HQ
  • Create Sales and Customer Support departments with parent New York Office
  • As next step assign your team member to a department. For this go to Settings > Users and press on each User to configure the department they belong to.
